Ritherdon have re-designed the R Pillar Range. One of the main changes has been how the Pillars are made and assembled. The new design has the addition of rivets replacing welds. Due to this change the costs of labour has dramatically reduced, with Ritherdon being able to pass the saving onto the customer by reducing the selling price. Changes have also been made to the base of the Pillar giving better access for ducting from all sides, making installation a lot easier. All Standard Powder Coated Cabinets & Feeder Pillars are manufactured from 4003 Grade of Stainless Steel. While 4003 is highly resistant to atmospheric corrosion, it is not recommended for use as a decorative stainless steel (e.g. unpainted and polished). This is because in more aggressively corrosive environments it can discolour producing a tarnished look to its surface. To avoid this staining in more corrosive environments, 4003 grade of stainless steel products are always powder coated for external use.
