The Ritherdon Poleplug is the safest and easiest-to-maintain wiring system for Passively Safe Road Products such as our Atlas Retention Socket and our Passive Safe Cabinets. It is the Highways England approved system for passively safe poles and cabinets requiring emergency disconnection of the power supply cables. Ritherdon have re-designed the R Pillar Range. One of the main changes has been how the Pillars are made and assembled. The new design has the addition of rivets replacing welds. Due to this change the costs of labour has dramatically reduced, with Ritherdon being able to pass the saving onto the customer by reducing the selling price. These quick disconnectors are available in 2/3/5/16 pin, 20-amp IP68 polarized plugs, connectors and sockets (male plug) and (female socket). The electrical connectors are designed and supplied as factory moulded cable and connector joint to provide dust and waterproof joint, submersible to 6 feet of water when capped or mated. Why Do Unpainted Pillars and Cabinets Cost More Than Powder Coated Pillars & Cabinets?

All Standard Powder Coated Cabinets & Pillars are manufactured from 4003 Grade Stainless Steel.   While 4003 is highly resistant to atmospheric corrosion, it is not recommended for use as a decorative stainless steel (e.g. unpainted and polished). This is because in more aggressively corrosive environments it can discolour, producing a tarnished look to its surface.  To avoid this staining in more corrosive environments, 4003 grade stainless steel products are powder coated for external use.
