Accepted Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods: 

  • Card Payment:
    • We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Discover, Diners Club and American Express.
  • PayPal Express Checkout:
    • You can opt to use your PayPal account. 
  • Bank Deposit:
    • Pay with a bank transfer through your own bank.

Cheque payments not accepted:

Any cheques we receive will be destroyed and we will ask you to choose an alternative payment method. This may result in delays in the processing of your order. 

Card Payment:

Card payments will only be accepted via our online shop.

Due to data protection, we will not take card payments over the telephone for security and privacy reasons. 

Bank Deposit:

Checking out with the Bank Deposit option allows you to confirm your order and reach the checkout.  The following instructions will appear:

Once you reach the order confirmation page, you will be provided with Ritherdon Bank Details so that you can proceed to make payment through bank transfer i.e. BACS Payment, Faster Payment etc.

This will require you to make payment arrangements through your own Bank services; by any means they make available to you, typically online banking, telephone banking, branch services, etc. 

When choosing Bank Deposit, your order will only be processed upon receipt of payment. Please allow up to 2 working days for this process. 

For any Urgent Orders, we recommend either the Faster Payment option or Card. 

Differences between Bank Transfer Options

Here's a brief overview of some of the Bank Transfer options available to you in the UK payments system.

  • BACS Transfer
  • Faster Payment

The BACS Transfer, (also referred to as 'bank transfer'), is a secure service enabling organisations to make payments directly into another bank or building society account. It usually takes 3 working days to complete.

The Faster Payment option is a fast bank transfer that can happen in minutes but can take up to 2 hours. It's always received at the end of the business day and transfers can be made any time at any day, including weekends and bank holidays. This is usually the fastest way to transfer funds between accounts. If your order is urgent and needs quick processing, we would advise you opt for Faster Payment or if possible, by one of the card options previously mentioned.

Once your order is delivered a VAT invoice will be sent to the email supplied. Please allow 1-2 working days after delivery.
