What lock alternatives are available?

All Ritherdon Meter Boxes, Meter Box Repairs, Pillars & Cabinets are fitted with 8mm Tri Key Cam Locks as standard.

This is a suitable lock and opened with a widely available standardised tri-key for easy access by third party contractors such as meter readers or power network companies. For some applications such as CCTV or Traffic Controls this isn't very secure. So, we can offer lock alternatives on request to regulate access to your equipment.

Keyed Cam Lock

Keyed camlocks that provide an added level of security for your cabinet and pillars. Please remember to add these to your cart when ordering. The keyed camlock is optional as cabinets and pillars all come with tri-key camlocks as standard. 

Hasp For Padlock (As Well As Cam Locks)

If you'd like to use a padlock to lock your cabinets, you can choose the hasp, padlock and padlock shroud. To improve security for your padlock, we provide a padlock shroud to cover the padlock (not featured in the image). This a non-standard customisation for cabinets. When you opt for hasp and padlock lock option, the cabinet door is different and will be made to order. This means that the cabinet ordered with not be a stock item and will have a longer lead time (typically 3-4 working weeks).

3 Point Locking System (RB Cabinets Only)

The three-point locking system comes with a Padlockable L Handle (padlock not included). The padlockable handle actions the three point rod reinforcing the door of the cabinet. To add an extra layer of protection for the padlock, we also include a padlock shroud.
