Now Accepting Bank Deposit Payments

To provide a better service and customer experience, we have introduced a new payment method Bank Deposit. You can choose the new option called Bank Deposit straight in the checkout of our online shop.

Checking out with the Bank Deposit option allows you to place your order and reach the order confirmation page. Once you've ordered you simply use your own bank services to pay via bank transfer using your own bank services i.e. online banking.

As some of our customers will know, there will no longer be a need to create Draft Orders to send out separate email Proforma Invoices with bank details for you to complete the transfer separately. This will avoid delays as there won't be a need to wait for your draft order to be created and an invoice emailed to you, you can simply checkout as you would a normal online order.

How Bank Deposit Works

Here's a summary of what to expect when you choose the Bank Deposit option at checkout. You don't need to provide us with your bank account details at any point in this process.

This is what the payment options look like at checkout, this screen will come up after you've filled in contact details, including delivery address.

New Payment Method Bank Deposit

Once you've chosen Bank Deposit as your payment option, you can review your order without confirming it. Once you've reviewed your order and you're satisfied with it, the payment method is confirmed and the following instructions will appear:

YOUR ORDER IS NOW PENDING - DON'T FORGET TO COMPLETE YOUR BANK TRANSFER.

Once the order confirmation page is reached, you will be provided with Ritherdon Bank Details so that you can proceed to make payment through bank transfer i.e. BACS Payment, Faster Payment.

This will require you to make arrangements to pay through your own Bank services; by any means they make available to you, typically online banking as well as going into a branch if that is your preference.

When choosing Bank Deposit, your order will only be processed upon receipt of payment. Please allow up to 2 working days for this process. For any Urgent Orders, we recommend either the Faster Payment option or Card.

Please quote Payment Reference: Web**** Order Number. Failure to do so may delay your order processing. Please allow up to 2 working days for this process.

Differences between Bank Transfer Options

Here's a brief overview of some of the Bank Transfer options available to you in the UK payments system. Please refer to your bank for further advice.

  • BACS Transfer: Secure bank transfer method that takes up to 3 working days to complete.
  • Faster Payment: Secure fast bank transfer method that is completed in up to 2 hours  (and at the latest at the end of the business day) at any time of the day on any day including weekends and bank holidays.

The Faster Payment option is usually the fastest way to transfer funds between accounts. If your order is urgent and needs quick processing, we would advise you opt for Faster Payment or if possible, pay by card.

There may be extra costs associated with Faster Payment option so please bear this in mind and ask your bank (or your Accounts Department, if you're a business) for further advice.

We hope the Bank Deposit option makes it quicker and easier to order from the Ritherdon online shop. For any further queries please email us at info@ritherdon.co.uk or use our dedicate Web Chat where you can ask to speak to an operator during our business hours, Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and on a Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.
